Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on Publishing the List of National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Colleges and National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Bases. Wenzhou University was successfully selected as the construction unit of the first batch of "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Base", one of the only 3 approved construction units among the undergraduate colleges in Zhejiang Province.

From offering the first entrepreneurship course "Wenzhou People's Spirit and Entrepreneurship" in 2000, to the establishment of the first batch of division-level innovation and entrepreneurship colleges in 2009, our university has been selected as one of the first batch of demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, one of the first batch of universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the Sino-US Youth Maker Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education. The entrepreneurial talent training model with distinctive regional characteristics is praised by scholars as one of the four major models of entrepreneurship education in Chinese universities.

WZU hosts the Annual Meeting of Sino-US Young Maker Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, Boya Forum on Entrepreneurship Education of Peking University and other medium and large academic conferences.

The university has taken the lead in building the master's program of the sub-discipline of "Entrepreneurship Education" in China. It has won first and second prizes of National Teaching Achievement Award and the first prize of Zhejiang Teaching Achievement Award for three consecutive years. WZU has a series of high-level teaching achievements such as national first-class undergraduate courses, national high-quality online courses, new-form teaching materials of provincial level in the 13th Five-Year Plan and provincial entrepreneurial practice bases for college students.

High-quality activities such as the Expert Discussion Meeting on the Construction of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship College and the establishment ceremony of Teaching and Research Center of University Entrepreneurship in Wenzhou.

In the future, the University will focus on the task of building National Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, further deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, continue to upgrade the characteristics of the university, improve the teaching quality, strengthen the "WZU model" of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and contribute "WZU strength" to promote common prosperity of socialism with Chinese characteristics first and provincial modernization first.
