On the afternoon of February 9 (French time), Lu Shaye, China’s Ambassador to France, visited the largest Chinese trade wholesale center in Europe in the 93rd Arrondissement of Paris, the French Chinese Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and its Chinese School. Ambassador Lu Shaye highly praised the online teaching team of Wenzhou University.

Ambassador Lu Shaye learned that WZU had done a great job in its overseas teaching program. Their teaching is experience-based, and underpinned by scientific teaching methods, and is popular among the children. Mr. Lu said that the online teaching work of WZU was very meaningful and provided a good opportunity for the children of overseas Chinese who wanted to return to China for work and life. He hoped that the teachers would continue their efforts and achieve more fruitful results. 

The overseas online teaching team of Wenzhou University, set up by the “Gap Bridge” entrepreneurial studio of the School of Foreign Studies, consists of teachers who are all outstanding students studying teacher education in our university. They mainly provide online teaching services for overseas Chinese schools. Since the end of 2020, the team has been providing free lectures on Chinese studies for more than 20 overseas Chinese schools, as well as various intellectual and entertainment classes for many Chinese schools. Their work was well acknowledged by the China’s Embassy in France, overseas Chinese groups and Chinese schools.
