Professor Dai Yuxing’s team won the patent gold award
On the morning of November 11, 2020, the 21st China Patent Awards Conference co-sponsored by the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the World Intellectual Property Organization was held in Dalian, a coastal city. The theme of this conference is "Intellectual Property Leads High-quality Economic Development". Shen Changyu, Director of the State Intellectual Property Office, Liu Hua, Director of the WIPO, China Office, Liu Ning, Deputy Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Liaoning Province, attended the meeting. Daren Tang, Director General of WIPO, delivered a speech via video links.
The invention patent "Island Special Power Supply System" with Wenzhou University as the patentee and Professor Dai Yuxing from the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as the first inventor won the 21st China Patent Gold Award for its leading technical level and remarkable economic and social benefits. It is the first time that Wenzhou University won this award.
"Island special power supply system" is an important innovation of the team led by Professor Dai Yuxing after more than ten years of research. They solved a number of technical problems and successfully developed a special power supply product to be applied to islands such as the South China Sea and the East China Sea.
A total of 2,479 projects were evaluated in this event. The State Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization decided to award 30 China Patent Gold Awards, of which only 7 were awarded to universities.
