On the morning of February 26th, Wenzhou University held the General Meeting for all faculty and staff for the upcoming new semester. All members of the university leadership attended, with Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, ZHUANG Xingzhong, presiding over the meeting. 

President ZHAO Min delivered a speech titled "Anchoring Excellence, Uniting Strength, and Embarking on a New Journey of High-Quality and Meaningful Development of the University" to review the achievements of 2023 and outline the key tasks for 2024.

President ZHAO Min emphasized that 2023 marked the beginning of fully implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with the university focusing on the theme of "Anchoring 1369, Advancing in 2023," achieving significant results across various endeavors. 2024 is crucial for the university to comprehensively implement the goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan and strive for breakthroughs in constructing a high-level university. He further deployed the tasks for the new year, under the theme of "Anchoring 5133, Advancing in 2024." President ZHAO Min highlighted the efforts and achievements of the university in 2023, outlining the key directions for 2024. He underscored the mission and responsibility of the university, encouraging all faculty and staff to strive for its development. Additionally, he provided clear deployment and planning for the university's development goals in the new year, inspiring all members to strive for higher objectives.

Secretary of the Party Committee, QIAN Qiang, summarized the past year's development of the university, affirming the dedication of all cadres and teachers in laying a solid foundation for the university's high-quality development. He emphasized the historical mission and political responsibility of the university in the new era, encouraging all teachers and students to unite and forge ahead to achieve greater success for the university's cause. Combining the instructions of General Secretary XI Jinping and the spirits of important provincial and municipal meetings, he highlighted the mission and responsibility of the university in the new journey, expressing earnest hopes for the university's work in the new year. He outlined the development direction and key tasks for the new era, calling on all faculty and staff to contribute their ideas and efforts to compose a new brilliant chapter for Wenzhou University.

The meeting also recognized recipients of the 2023 Wenzhou University President's Special Award, Special Contribution Award, outstanding units in various colleges and departments, advanced collectives and individuals in the 90th anniversary celebration of the university, outstanding party members, party workers, teachers, and educational workers.

The meeting was conducted through a combination of on-site and synchronous live broadcasts, with all faculty and staff participating.
